A Day in the Life of CASER LONDON's Founder: From Coffee to Case Design
Share
Running a sustainable design brand isn’t just a job—it’s a lifestyle. As the founder of CASER LONDON, every day brings something new: a mix of creativity, problem-solving, and the quiet satisfaction of building something that reflects who I am—and hopefully, what my customers love too.
If you’ve ever wondered what a typical day looks like behind the scenes of an eco-friendly phone case brand, here’s a little glimpse into my world.
Morning: Calm, Coffee, and Creative Focus
My day usually begins around 7:30 AM in South London. I keep mornings quiet—no emails, no Slack pings, no calls. Just me, a notebook, and a cup of strong black coffee.
This hour is reserved for design sketches, concept ideas, and brand direction planning. I jot down things I’ve seen around the city—maybe the light hitting a building in Canary Wharf, or a texture I noticed on the Tube. These moments often evolve into the subtle design touches on our cases, like the iconic Big Ben silhouette or the understated curve lines that echo London's skyline.
CASER LONDON is more than just about aesthetics. It’s about capturing what the city means to those who love it: the rhythm, the resilience, the elegance. These early hours help me stay connected to that vision.
Mid-Morning: Suppliers, Samples, and Sustainability
By 9:30 AM, it's time to switch gears. I usually have calls with our manufacturing partners—many of whom are based internationally, which means mornings work best for real-time conversations. We discuss everything from material samples to production timelines.
One of the biggest commitments at CASER LONDON is ensuring our cases are made using high-quality recycled materials. That’s not always easy—it means personally sourcing, vetting, and testing suppliers. I’ve visited factories, held materials in my hands, and made tough calls to delay launches just to ensure the right environmental standards are met.
That’s why I say we don’t just sell cases—we design experiences, with the environment and our customers at the heart of it all.
Lunch: A Walk and a Little Reflection
Lunch is usually on the go, often with a walk through a local park or a quiet side street. I like to stay close to the rhythm of the city—its sounds, smells, and shifting moods are a constant source of inspiration.
Sometimes I’ll stop to snap a photo or make a quick voice note. Our clean, minimalist design is often influenced by the small things most people overlook—a shadow on a building, the font on a vintage shop sign, or even a cracked pavement that creates a unique texture.
Afternoon: Content, Community & caserlondon.com
Afternoons are all about engagement—writing blog posts (like this one), planning content for caserlondon.com, or working on social media visuals. I believe in storytelling as a way to build trust, so everything we share has to be thoughtful, aligned with our aesthetic, and reflective of our brand mission.
If there’s a product launch coming up—say, the MagSafe-ready transparent cases in royal blue and red—I’ll also spend time reviewing product photography, making tweaks to the Shopify store, or crafting email campaigns for subscribers.
Speaking of which—if you haven’t signed up for our newsletter, now’s a good time 😉
Evening: Slow Down, Reflect, Reset
By 6:30 PM, I’m usually winding down. Running your own business, especially one rooted in design and sustainability, can be intense—but incredibly rewarding. Most evenings are spent with a book, some music, or occasionally a casual dinner with friends (many of whom are also creatives or entrepreneurs—it helps to share ideas and learn from each other).
I always take a few minutes to reflect on the day: what worked, what didn’t, and what’s coming next. CASER LONDON is still young, and I know there’s so much more to build. But every day brings me closer to the vision of a brand that’s both timeless and responsible, global in reach but grounded in the details that make London special.
Why This Matters
At CASER LONDON, everything starts with intention. From the sustainably sourced materials to the city-inspired designs, my daily life feeds directly into the brand you see online. It’s personal. And I hope that when you hold one of our cases, you feel a little bit of that passion too.
Whether you're here for the style, the function, or the commitment to the planet—thank you for being part of the journey.
